Daily Author interview: Vanessa Karkheck

1. I started writing as a teenager because I was obsessed with Harry Potter and wanted the stories to continue so, naturally, I began writing fanfic. Eventually these turned into my own original ideas!

2. I love to read! Colleen Hoover has some wonderful books out there, Sarah Dessen is my favourite YA author, and Harry Potter will always hold a place in my heart

3. Currently I am working on finishing book 2 of my Redneck Devils trilogy. It’s called Dangerous Reality and I hope to get it finished and out there in the next couple of months. This is, hopefully, the final rewrite. Then I need to make sure book 3 is solid too.

4. Just keep writing! Don’t let other discourage you. Try not to worry about the sales. Never pay for a review as they’re often not genuine. It’s hard an an indie author but I feel as long as you’re proud of what you’ve accomplished then that’s all that matters!

5. Similar to the first answer above, I was first influence by fanfiction and readers liking my stories on there and that kept me writing more. Now, it’s just something I love to do. It helps my mental health because I find it eases my anxiety when I focus on whats happening in the story as it’s something I have control over as opposed to reality!

Daily Author Interview: Dave Welch

1) What inspired you to write?

My inspiration started from movies, cartoons and videogames of the early 90’s. It was the action and the camera angles that lured me in

2) Are you a reader? What are some of your favorites?

I do read. Comics. Marvel and DC and Image sometimes.

3) What is your newest work, and what is going to happen in the future?

My newest novel is Evolving Crane Book4. It about an alien teleported to earth with no food and no way back home.

4) Do you have advice or tips for Indie Authors?

The biggest piece of advice I can give is to stay ahead of the game. Define your competition and see what they are doing. I think understanding your niche, genre and target audience is a huge plus.

5) What influenced you as a writer?

I was greatly influenced by my cartoon MOS. Its actually a adaptation of the novel. My dream is to get it on tv.

Daily Author interview: Kyle Sullivan JR

1) What inspired me to write? I’ve always had lots of ideas that I would make up in my mind ever since I was a kid. I’d imagine all kinds of scenarios and funny things for days on end. Then I got the idea that I should share these tales! So now I’m trying my best.

2) I am a reader. I loved reading Brian Jacques’s “Red Wall” series, The Percy Jackson novels, and the Narnia series just to name a few.

3) My newest work is a female lead sci-fi set in a post-apocalyptic earth that is based off of reality. I am publishing chapter by chapter as an ongoing series on the Webnovel and Bravonovel apps. I have 190 chapters published so far and my goal is to reach 1,000 chapters once the story is done!

4) Tips: Try your best to set a firm writing schedule, even if you work full time like I do. If you skip one day it will turn into two, then three, and before you know it you forgot the plot!

5) What influences me as a writer is all the other authors I speak with from Webnovel on their Discord. We get to bounce ideas around, review and encourage each other’s work, and discuss how to improve. It’s a great motivator to know that my problems are not mine alone.

Daily Author Interview: Tearsilyne

1. The first thing that inspires me write is my dream to become a published author. The second thing is my mother who is my first reader and supporter from the very first time I started holding my pen.

2. Yes, I am a reader. I’m so obsessed reading different genres that I even dreamed of having my very own. My most favorite book is about dealing with love.

3. This is my first ever story and I started a new one entitled “Love beyond Sundown”. I know that no one can predict the future, neither I, but I believe that nothing is impossible. In the near future I will no longer cry for no reason. I will no longer be useless person.

4. Do what you love and love what you do. Never stop chasing your dreams to become the best author and also keep your pen bleeding!

5. The first thing that influence me as a writer is the people around me who always been dragging me down. I cannot fight them back so, I choose to right it down than to take a revenge. I always believe that words can help me to heal my broken soul, and can restore my broken pieces.

Daily Author interview: Celeste Stacy

1) Not sure what inspired me to write, I do know I get all these ideas for stories. So I write them down and not really sure how to stop it. It’s like breathing now for me:) 2) Not much of a reader now, too busy working and writing. Used to love to read, I loved all the dragon Lance chronicles series. 3) just published book 3 of my SAI series, which is a dark romance- horror book and working now on book 4 of that series. Also book 4 is going more dark. 4) My advice for new writers is write and write and edit, edit! 5)I’ve been influenced by Stephan King and Douglas Adams, Margaret Wiess and Tracy Hickman are some that come to mind.

Daily Author Interview: K.L. Estrada

1. I’m an avid reader of romance and “feel good” stories
2. My favorites are Danielle Steel and Nicholas Sparks
3. My latest work is Wallflower Pen Pals, an epistolary true story romance of two youngsters who fell in love through letters before they even met. My next book will be a fiction which will be a sequel to my latest and will be titled Wallflower Lovers.
4. My advice for Indie Authors is to stay inspired and don’t stop writing. Write to your heart’s content and don’t worry about the ending. All of the grammar, punctuations, and fine tuning can be fixed after you write your inspired novel(s).
5. I was influenced as a writer from other writers. I figured if they have the creativity and zeal as I do, I can be an author as well. I only regret that I didn’t start writing earlier in my career.
