Liam, Cullen, and Jon, Liam’s childhood friend, must travel to the Home of Protectors to find information on the enemy, Atlin. Liam is told that Cullen has taken over the throne with Atlin by his side. Everyone has bowed down to King Cullen, exept for Lorne. Lorne will die unless Liam and his allies can make it back to Derzeli to write some wrongs. Liam may have to decide if he wants to run away from his destiny, or embrace it, the destiny of a king.
