All I could do was sit down on the ground next to him. He was staring like he was beyond lost. He had been pacing back and forth along the hallways for the past two weeks, not knowing what was happening with his mother. His father was gone, and he wanted his mother to be safe. 

“Listen, I know you are missing home and your mother, but doing this is crazy. I know you’re a brave person, and all I’m saying is, please be safe. Come back in one piece, and I hope whoever goes there will come back with some news for you,” I replied.
